Data Cuisine Workshop & Flying Buffet Berlin

On the occasion of the 11th anniversary party of MiCT and the Open Eye Award, we had the opportunity to feed over 150 guests with data-inspired dishes.

MiCT is a German non-profit organisation that implements media development projects in the Middle East, Northern Africa and other regions. The data dishes for the flying buffet were created in a two-day workshop with MiCT's media experts. They chose subjects and data relevant to their work with various communities and took inspiration from different local cuisines.

For the workshop and the preparation of the flying buffet, we collaborated with Sebastian Becker and Maximilian Haxel, founders of Bestecklos Fingerfood Berlin. Thanks for the great collaboration!

The results ranged from Tweeting Tabouleh over Halal Internet blocked by delicious barberry chutney to Cake Pops visualizing the percentage of Facebook usage in various countries by sugar sprinkles.
